- Why do we use the nose? -
During asana in yoga or meditation in Mindfulness, the focus is completely in breathing in and out through the nose.
Why do we use the nose?
Because, the nose can clear foul air and increase level of humidity in the air by acting as a humidifier. The humid air is easier to go into our lungs. That activates the parasympathetic nerve and the brain sends out α waves therefore it releases stress.

呼吸はなぜ鼻を使うのか?
鼻がフィルターの効果で空気の汚れを取り除き、加湿器として取り込む空気の湿度をあげる。湿度の高い空気は肺に取り込まれ易い。副交感神経が作用し、脳からα波が出てストレスを取り除く。
