I would say he is, generally speaking, good at giving gifts, but it depends on the person and his connection to them. If it’s a friend or someone who’s close and / or dear to him in some other way, someone he knows well, he’s definitely going to get them something he knows they’re going to enjoy, whether it’s something connected to their current passion, or something he thinks may pique their interest based on his observations. Sometimes he just wants to be sweet, too, and goes for something that isn’t necessarily useful in the aforementioned sense, but that will make the receiver simply feel good.

What’s important to keep in mind, however, is what I mentioned at the very beginning: it has to be someone close to him, and there’s not many people like that in his life right now. Anybody else and he isn’t going to bother, even if it would have to be out of politeness.

Chopper was completely afraid despite his abilities, often forgetting to fight instead of run and hide when under pressure. As his eyes quivered worriedly, the reindeer stared up at the taller, younger girl and tried to negotiate, removing his blue backpack.

"Here! I'll let you have all of it! I'll just skip Trick-or-Treating this year! It's not worth violence!" He glanced left and right, hoping his friends were nearby to save him in case she declined.
