Lance how can I have confidence like you? You seem like the type that can get past depressing problems or just not waver on them. Can you tell me how you do it?

I think you might have the wrong number; not sure who ‘Lance’ is but this sounds like a serious question, so I hope you don’t mind me answering?

Some people like this Lance guy you mentioned may just be the confident type.  It’s okay if you’re not, even if some people are naturally able to bounce back from things.  Different people, different brains.

In my case... look I’m gonna be honest, the whole confident playboy superhero celebrity thing is just an act.  Well, it’s not totally an act -- I’m pretty great -- but I also have my own problems.  I seem more confident than I actually am.  ‘Fake it til you make it’, right?

Um, I’m not really sure how to get past depressing problems either.  What I do might not work for you.  But I try to keep busy and find distractions so my brain isn’t stuck on depressing shit.  I chat with my team sometimes -- especially Bedrock, because we’ve been best friends for years.

I guess... I dunno, I don’t think I’ve really dealt with my depressing problems.  I’ve just kept going because I have no other choice.  It’s tough.  But hey, tell ya what -- if I figure out this confidence thing, I’ll share.  How’s that sound?
