Hinokami herself invades the Infinity Castle and starts taking on the Upper Ranks by herself (Muzan f-ed off cuz of course)

Kokushibo, the only one who is a former Demon Slayer, tries to remember the last time he was pushed to the brink this hard by a single individual, and lands on the times he faced demons as a human. He then wonders:

"Is the gap between demons and gods the same as the gap between humans and demons?"

Akaza, the only other Upper Rank still fighting Hinokami, sees Kokushibo change his demeanor and movements, and for a moment, he almost sees the hashiras he's killed in Kokushibo

Akaza comes to the same conclusion, and realizes he's getting a taste of what it's like for Demon Slayers to take on Upper Ranks

Summary:

The goddess Hinokami intended on blessing the latest sun breather in his fight against demons. When she realizes Tanjirō is her descendant, she awakens his latent abilities instead. If Yoriichi Tsugukuni wasn’t enough, one Tanjirō Kamado with the power of the sun flowing through his veins is more than willing to make the Demon King rethink that claim.

Most Vital Demon Slayer Family: The Rengoku Family

*CONTAINS SPOILERS*

The Rengoku ancestor was the one who found Yoriichi after his wife and child were murdered, although he failed in killing the demon he pursued it to Yoriichi’s house, he stopped pursuing the demon to help Yoriichi by encouraging him to mourn for them and give them a proper burial---him doing this kept Yoriichi from remaining in a devastated state and it was probably that friendship with the Rengoku ancestor that helped convince Yoriichi to teach others the techniques.

This same ancestor was the one who started the detailed records that the Rengoku family has kept for 1000+ years, he recorded his conversation with Yoriichi about Sun Breathing and completing it for an entire day---which Tanjiro only learned about because Senjuro looked it up and sent it to him---allowing Tanjiro to connect the dots that he needed to do Hinokami Kagura until the sun came up in order to defeat Muzan.---Without it Tanjiro may not have made the connection.

Kyojuro’s simple memory about seeing his father reading reminded him about the records, he told Tanjiro to visit the Rengoku mansion to find information about Hinokami Kagura. Tanjiro respected and cared about him so much that when he is struggling in a fight Kyojuro is who he thinks of, and so is Inosuke (Entertainment District) and it gives them the strength to keep going and find a solution. Kyojuro’s memory constantly provides Tanjiro with what he needs to win and to also not beat himself up when he’s feeling depressed.

Visiting the Rengoku mansion is where Tanjiro learned that Hinokami Kagura is in fact a breathing style, that it was the first style and the most powerful. The frustration of knowing he had that capability but wasn’t able to fully use it yet gave him new determination. By talking with Senjuro Tanjiro also was able to figure out short-comings in his thoughts, and what he could do to fight that. Starting that friendship with Senjuro and having that conversation about Hinokami Kagura is what led to Senjuro finding the vital information Tanjiro would later need during the battle.

Through the letter that Shinjurou sends Tanjiro in the Entertainment District Arc he learns about what the demon mark is and even though he doesn’t realize it at the time his does start to manifest the mark and it starts the catalyst for everyone else’s Demon Mark to start manifesting which gave them all a huge boost during the final battles and tipped the scale in how those battles went.

During his fight with Akaza Tanjiro having flashbacks about Kyojuro’s fight with the Demon Moon 3 is what allowed him to remember the supreme territory, his memory of his father using it and how to use and apply it himself,  this also played a huge part in the final battle allowing him to see that Muzan’s scars were where his vitals were moving.

And of course, Kyojuro’s death is what started Tanjiro’s catalyst of wanting to make sure no one else died, fueling his emotions and determination past what they had previously been. The fact that things really began to escalate after his death and the Entertainment District Arc is definitely no accident.
