Hip update!

I'm not going to try and read the MRI images on my own because even though I have a good idea of what's going on I'd rather wait for the report from the professionals.

This is easy to read though. You can definitely see that my hip socket does not fully cover the femoral head. And that "fun" pocket my cursor is pointing at? Pretty sure that's the damage to my joint. The rest of my cartilage is looking good though.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the steroid they gave me lasts longer than a week. It would be GREAT to be able to stand/walk for more than 5-10 minutes at a time.

I’m getting incredibly antsy as my arthrogram approaches.

I do not look forward to being in so much pain afterwards, like last time. (This one is for my left hip, the last was for my right hip). My follow up is next Friday, and I’ll be driving the hour and a half for that. I’m so anxious for all of this. Hopefully no more giant, obnoxious needles after this appointment, because while the procedure is less than painful, the recovery is a whole different level of hell. And with my hips already in considerable pain, all that added fluid is hell for the following day. *fingers crossed*
