GERMAN EXPRESSIONISTS SKJFLKSDJFLABFJASF
really in retrospect i shouldn't be at all surprised that i fell in love with the german expressionists
i mean
Expressionist work was marked by aesthetic intensity, a wilful divergence from prior modes of thinking, a tendency to short forms as a way of concentrating and condensing, and an acute self consciousness about the limits of language and, the converse, the expressive potential of language. This ‘language’ could be visual or linguistic. Indeed, the notion of visual art as a language was to be further developed towards the end of the Expressionist movement by Georges Bataille, Michel Leiris and Carl Einstein in the avant-garde art journal Documents. Expressionism was a self-consciously Post-Impressionist movement; a turn away from the notion of aesthetic beauty in harmonious proportion; ‘Symmetry’ says Bebuquin, ‘is as boring as mechanics’.

7 facts about my childhood
i was born in toronto and moved to winnipeg when i was………. 5???
i never learned how to ride a bike until i was in gr. 3, and i was taught by my friends (not my parents) by being pushed down a hill and being yelled at to pedal
with said friends, we got in a huge fight (wow grade three drama, crazy kids) at the park - we threw sand at each other and in each other’s hair and filled each other’s shoes with sand (it was them two against me)(one of those girls is now one of my best friends)
at one point in my life (i think i was 7??) i literally thought i was a boy and that i was dreaming i was a girl
i spent a lot of time trying to build a time machine out of a few sheets and a play kitchen
once i played in insulation in my basement with my little sister; it looked really fluffy and nice, but we were really itchy afterward because we didn’t know you’re not supposed to play in insulation……….
in grade one, i got in trouble by the teacher because a boy tattled on me and started crying because i said his glue looked like milk
pippin because your life is just food always.
it really is (。◕‿‿◕。)
