I have officially watched the entirety of the Clone Wars series

I haven’t cried that hard in a long time. Seeing Rex with the shovel, the helmets, Jesse’s helmet....

Rex is Star Wars. Clones are Star Wars.

For all its faults, I’m so glad the series had a huge focus on the clones, it’s something I desperately missed in the live action prequels. I wanted more interaction between Obi-Wan and Cody. Between Jedi and clones in general.

Now don’t get me wrong, I still got very upset when Cody and the 212th turned their blasters on Obi-Wan while watching ROTS alongside the last episodes, but I began thinking about Clone Wars and fanfiction. Those media combined that show the deep trust and friendship that we may not always see.

I’m so glad I watched this show, it has taken over my life since I began in September. It’ll stick with me forever that’s for certain.

Before I go to bed I just wanted to remind you that Alex put himself between Michael and Jesse in that toolshed, immediately and instinctively

He provoked his father to draw that wrath onto himself rather than Michael

And when Jesse is slamming Alex against the wall and choking him, all I can think is that Alex was willing to take a beating to keep Michael safe

He didn’t even think it through, he just acted. He knew one of them would have to pay and he wanted it to be him. Not Michael. Never Michael.
