Very random but IF I had to ship harry with literally any other character than ginny , you know who I'd pick? Ronald Weasley.

Like he's such an obvious choice for me and not because he's a Weasley and has a close relationship with harry but because the amount of potential they have as a pairing. (Just hear me out here ok )

They were in the dormitory, stretched out on Harry’s bed, sharing a smuggled bottle of firewhiskey. 

“So I’m the person you’d miss most?” Ron said, sipping the amber liquid from a bottle and passing it to Harry. Harry took a swig, letting his throat burn from the alcohol before answering. 

“Obviously,” he said, grinning at Ron. 

Ron’s face reddened. “Yeah?”

“I’d pull you out of the lake again,” Harry said, cheekily. “Would you pull me out?”

“You know it,” Ron said, easily, lying back again. Harry relaxed into Ron’s warmth as the alcohol left them with a pleasant, relaxed feeling.

remember in goblet of fire when dobby gave harry the gillyweed ten minutes before the second task and kept shouting “DOBBY CANT LET HARRY POTTER LOSE HIS WHEEZY” talking about ron who at that point he thought was in real danger of being killed
