There is a fundraiser for Jack’s family on gofundme. I think how we as a community, working together, have been able to make people aware of this case. Together with Jack’s family, we made people aware. I am so proud of that.
It sadness me when I get messages or read articles about physically hurting Dylan or the rest of his group. I know that frustration and hate is a way of coping with trauma, but let us be better. The last thing we need as a community is physically abusing someone. I am sure they are hurting as well. That does not mean that they should not be faced with consequence any wrongdoing, and I am sure that they already are suffering. We have warned our community, now let us focus on healing our community. We will never forget! Please do not cross the line from advocating against abuse to becoming an abuser.
I knew Jack. I did not really know him that well as Tank. So even if we where not close for quite some time, this has been a heartbreaking experience. I mourn not only for the friendship we once had never can be reignited, I mourn not getting your silly texts, I mourn not only the tragic way you died, I mourn not only that I did not know what happened to you, I do mostly of all I mourn that you are gone.
I hope you are proud of me Jack for trying to bring you justice. Trying to do our bit to make sure this does not happen to anyone else.
I have donated to your family. I hope you are “silly-dancing” in heaven right now.
Rest in peace Jack, you are missed by the community that loves you.
