If the anatomy is all wonky I'm sorryyyy I've been trying to practice side profiles again and I really liked how this one turned out. Also I realized that I never really draw my favourite doll characters so I wanted to rectify that. I know Cleo's G3 characterization is a little polarizing for some, but I think she just about strikes the right balance between entitled and endearing, plus I think her design's pretty neat. I'm waiting for a Cleo doll that has (saran) brown and teal hair though because I think it's beautiful on her!

i kinda wish monster high had pursued more the storyline with Jane Boolittle taking care of the pets in a "secret creepers" spin off series....

it would have been so cool to see more of the animal's personalities and character + i knowwww they wanted to become a competitor to the lps marketttt i could see it in mattel's eyessss

little details from the doll logs about cleo's story that i love:

loves dancing in the rain because she never experienced much of it back home. her dad disapproves of this so she has to sneak out to do it and she has to redo her wraps every time but she still does it.

sleeps with a night light and has trouble sleeping without it

afraid of betrayal, since her family was betrayed and lost their home.

grew close to ghoulia because she knew ghoulia wouldn't tell her secrets to anyone (since ghoulia speaks zombie which not many ghouls understand)

ghoulia is her bff and they planned their classes together as much as possible

she's still on decent terms with clawd even after he broke up with her. notable story is when deuce was working on a song for cleo's birthday and he asked for operetta's help, spectra came in and misinterpretted it and ran a story on how she was dumped by deuce and was getting back with clawd. clawd tracked down spectra and tried her to get her to take down the story. she called him an 'honorable wolf' and thanked him.

can charm snakes. though she mostly uses it to charm her pet snake hissette whenever she slithers into a shoe she wants to wear.
