Chapter 1 (Rating: Explicit)

Instead of killing Istvan Toth at Trosky, Henry took him hostage and traded him to Erik for Hans Capon. Now Istvan wants to get rid of Otto von Bergow before he or anyone else finds out what Erik did, and he's going to offer Henry of Skalitz an alliance to make that happen. Henry wants this alliance too, but he's not going to make anything easy for Toth.

((This is a direct sequel to my previous fic Advice For Drowning but should read fine as a stand-alone. The most impactful canon divergence, besides Istvan being alive, is that Erik left Brabant at Maleshov when he stole Capon.))
