Special birthday edition headcanon

-For Shinsou's birthday, Reiko gets help from Izuku, Itsuka, Momo, Jirou, Setsuna, and anyone else she can to talk to the teachers and pull some strings.

-the boy hates parties and big celebrations, and buying him cat things or something for his bike seems too simple. She wants to do something special.

- She blindfolded Shinsou and takes him to Gym Alpha, where she takes off the blind and reveals Aizawa and Mandalay, who will be there to observe

-It was a hard won battle, but Reiko will he doing hero training with Shinsou, despite him being in general studies. The ghost girl gets him the best gift he could ask for: a chance to get one step closer to his dream.

-Aizawa talks about how illogical it is but that he made an exception and that Shinsou should make the most of it.

-Mandalay adds slyly that Shinsou is a lucky guy, for several reasons.

-the purple-haired boy stands there for several moments, letting it sink in before he gazes at his girlfriend and smiles back gratefully.

-"Thank you...I mean it...you're amazing, Rei."

-"Thanks. I try to be. Shall we begin, birthday boy?" Her neutral expression changes to a gentle smile before the training commences.
