We’re not mutuals so I hope you don’t mind me jumping on the prayer bandwagon, but I know I could use some.

I’m in a situation where I’m dealing with disability issues, mental health issues, and medication problems and in the midst of that, I found out my parents are selling the house I live in and are not interested in where I go. I’m overwhelmed and worried about getting through all this.

Thank you for any prayers that can be spared.

HIM for the fanfic asks!

H: How would you describe your style?

Direct. It used to be very flowery (it still is a bit more ornate when I write in Italian), but I realised I liked reading straightforward prose and mine followed over time. Now it’s even too dry at times, so I am looking for more balance.

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

In theory I don’t believe in guilty pleasures and I’d never judge other people’s tastes, but there are a couple of things for me. Kylux, because fandom discourse really wants to make me feel like I’m a bad person for enjoying them (and it’s hard to shut out because there is so much legit criticism of the films and the industry and of fandom’s obsession with background traditionally attractive white boys and... but I try to remind myself that I can try to be a decent, ethical person in my life and still occasionally read about these human dumpster fires. It’s self-care.)

Also a whole bunch of dub-con(ish) scenarios, from sex pollen to heatfics, because there is something soothing about a character being forced to let go and give in to instinct. My rational brain has to take a short holiday for the duration. 

(And there’s one specific trope that walks the tightrope between being legit triggering and very good for me and I hate thinking about it because it makes NO SENSE. This is maybe more annoyance than guilt.)

M: Got any premises on the back burner that you'd care to share?

There’s my plotbunnies tag and then there are over THIRTY files in my Star Wars fics folder. This ask made me want to publicly shame myself so I found the courage to post this thing that has been in my drafts for weeks: look at my wip folder and despair (with brief fic summaries).
