Working on a bigger request that's taking a bit of time :'> (because I decided to make it more difficult on myself-)
So here's Widow and First Sinner (who I headcanon as the Weaver Atla) as a treat ^^
Fun fact: These two were the bosses I struggled with the most :D Took 61 hours to 100% the game and 2 of them were spend fighting these two-

Something I love about Silksong's Red Memory is that it really explained to me why they raised and trained Hornet as they did: all of it, all of it was so she could survive and thrive in a cruel world filled with higher powers that would stop at nothing to take and destroy whatever they feel like. Learning Weaver history really recontextulized some things in Deepnest.
Pharloom as a whole recontextualizes EVERYTHING about Deepnest for me. There's so much additional lore that adds so much to the whole mess that is Deepnest and the Weavers. Like, just a few of the things that make me insane are:
The fact that Hallownest residents tend to see Weavers as brutal, monstrous savages, and the fact that Weavers were once unintelligent animals before being imbued with Grand Mother Silk's influence.
The fact that Hornet is described as "spawn of those who dared to flee" and Herrah, alongside the rest of Deepnest, is viciously resistant to the Pale King, despite him being a known deity who could crush Deepnest, a kingdom of mortals with no Higher Being defending it, without a thought if sufficiently motivated.
The fact that a large number of Weavers left Hallownest for their old home after their children succumbed to the Infection en masse, Lace is noted as having been intentionally spun frail to keep her dependent on Grand Mother Silk, and the final boss arena for most endings in Silksong is called "the Cradle."
The fact that the Cradle in Pharloom is almost the highest point on the map, while Deepnest in Hollow Knight is almost the lowest point on the map.
The fact that the Widow is described as having had her mask— something associated with memory and personality in the games— forcibly removed and being a devoted servant of Grand Mother Silk, while the First Sinner in the Slab who's only accessible with the key of the Apostate is noted as having no means of absolution being granted to her and has her mask intact.
