Fresh out of high school you move to a new city to start your apprenticeship as a paramedic.
You need to learn how to manage a work-life-balance while working 48h/week, studying to actually know what to do, keeping fit, keep your househould clean (or not), manage your life with the little money you make, be responsible enough to actually feed yourself, keep in contact with your friends, try to integrate yourself into the station and find new friends (and maybe also love?) and if it is not enough already, try to develop healthy coping mechanism to cope with the things you are going to see… or don't.
In short: Try to manage every aspect of your life while also not failing your apprenticeship.
And please, don't kill your patients.

Best friend Sparrow Blake (nonbinary)
You and Sparrow have met in kindergarden and have been inseparable ever since. Sparrow only came out as nonbinary a few months ago, you having been the first one they told. Like you, they are 18 years old.
They are easygoing and carefree, easily the life of the party while at the same time never being too much. They love to tease their friends and would leave everything behind to help their loved ones if needed.
Apperance: They are of average height and a bit chubby. Their orange hair is wavy and reaches their shoulder with an undercut so they can switch between short and long hair styles. Their eyes are green and their skin is pale.
Teacher Benjamin/Bella Lehmann (m/f)
B is 40 years old and your teacher at the academy. After years of being on the ambulance themselves, they decided one year ago to join the academy to educate the next generation. Most apprentice have a love/hate relationship with them during their education since B is a strict teacher, expecting everyone to keep on top of their studies.
Apperance: B has black skin and brown eyes. They are a bit taller than average. Benjamin has short coily black hair which he wears in simple twists. Bella has shoulder length coily black hair which she wears in simple twists. They are muscular but in the last year put on a bit of weight so the muscles are hidden under some softness.
Co-Worker Nadir/Nadira Khaled (m/f)
N is 28 years old and one of your co-workers at the station. They can seem a bit intimidating, have sarcasm as their build-in-mode and have a no-nonesense attitude. N came as a refugee into this country when they were four years old.
Apperance: N is tall and muscular. Their skin is brown and their straight hair is black. Nadir wears it as a buzzcut with a fade and has a stubble beard. Nadira wears a hijab. They have brown eyes.
Doctor Kai/Kathy Gray (m/f)
K is one of the doctors in the ER and 32 years old. They are open, friendly and professional at work. In private conversations, they tend to be rather shy.
They are happily married and have two four years old children, the twins Emma and Emil.
Apperance: K has beige skin and curly brown hair. They have gray eyes. Kai is a bit shorter than average and has a toned build. Kai wears his hair at ear length and loose. Kathy is a bit larger than average and is a bit curvy. Kathy is wearing her hair in a bun at work and open in private.
Classmate Jack/Jacquelin Jacobson
J is in the same class as you, learning to become a paramedic. They are 21 years old. J is a bit of a class clown, always there to lighten up the mood and manages that even the last hour of school can be fun. They love to party and if confidence was a name, it would be their second.
Apperance: J is tall compared to most people but more average height in their family. They have straight blond hair and blue eyes. They have an athletic body. Jack has short spicky hair with faded sides. Jacquelin has her hair in a braided ponytail, open her hair reaches her shoulder blades.
