This is a really Niche and Nerdly post, BUT:

So in Age of Sigmar there are these guys called The Stormcast Eternals, who are mortals chosen by Sigmar(a mashup of Zeus, Odin, Thor, and Heracles) to be his soldiers(they're the setting's Spess Marins), and they're 'Eternals' because, everytime they die, they're "Reforged"(reincarnated and re-embodied) to continue fighting. But they have this plotline that the "Reforging" isn't perfect so a little piece of their souls are "winnowed" off everytime they die and they make a big angsty deal out of it and I'm like:

This sounds like a kickback to me.

For context: there's a Death God in this setting named Nagash, and his primary personality traits are 1)He's a Tyrant, 2)He's a Jerk, and 3)He Betrays Everyone at Every Opportunity. And GW makes the whole Reforging thing a Beef btwn Sigmar and Nagash like "you're stealing those souls they belong to me!" But you don't need to do that cuz Look at Who Nagash Is. Like: you could just have it be that the Winnowing is Nagash's cut, the tax he asked Sigmar to pay to keep using these souls, and Nagash remains an enemy after the deal anyway because he's just incapable of being chill or trustworthy about anything at all to anyone at anytime.

It's not a whole lot yet, but I keep hearing you got to make it first to make it good later, so I'm making an attempt at making it.

First model painting is the (not-so-humble) kabalite agent from the Drukhari Killteam. I think the purple looks decent so far.

Gonna keep on going tomorrow and see where it takes me.

i’m late for the roman hobby-posting but. he does the wordle every morning in bed and sends his score boasting to shiv, ken & connor. shiv always beats him. he also rts e-girl thirst traps from his secret twitter account and when he was in high school he started a pirate radio station but no one listened so he got angry and quit

you can never be late for hobbyposting, it's always a relevant topic <3 i feel like roman's defining quality is sending his scores to boast only to find out that someone is better than him. shiv always beats him, kendall beats him occasionally but connor never does, but he's just happy to see his siblings doing well. you made me chuckle with the rting e-girl thirst traps so it's of course immediately true <3 also yeah a pirate radio that he quit bc no one listened to it? absolutely, i'll add that into my belief system

It truly sucks that I can't just infuse some of the joy I receive from my hobby into another person. You should definitely watch this show/learn to knit/play this game and I know if you just start you'll love it!

I've decided I wanted to make a custom archon for my drukhari collection, and here they are! This was a really fun, if challenging project. RIP to my hobby knife who's blade was chipped in the name of seeing the work done. There's still a bit more work left, like fixing the back hair gap, but honestly? I'm pretty damn proud of the results right now.

Finally sat down and finished assembling my dark elf blood bowl team... AND I SOMEHOW MANAGED TO MESS UP BOTH OF THE BLITZERS IN COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAYS!

One has a messed shoulder pad which I ended up cutting with a scalpel and regluing it, and I honestly think it looks pretty oki.

The second blitzer... I somehow lost his right hand, couldn't find it for the life of me, but luckily the witch elf has a choice of left hands so... the second blitzer now has two left hands. Call it a mixup at a medical post.
