an - HAHAHA what are deadlines for if you’re not dead by the time you reach them 🤪 here’s some hobi fluff for you my beautiful bells.

- “Hey! Sorry I’m late,” Hoseok said a little out of breath as he reached the bench where you were seated under a large cherry blossom tree.

“Don’t apologize to me, apologize to your ice cream,” you said jumping up on your feet as you handed him the melting cone of mint chocolate, the neon green treat dripping slowly over the waffle.

“Sorry my beautiful mincho,” he sang before kissing the cold snack, making you giggle at the way the ice cream stained his lips, before he licked it off. Smiling widely at your laugh, he leaned down to place a sticky kiss on your cheek as you grimaced at the feeling, and grabbed your hand before you could rub at your face.

“Hobi,” you whined, trying to free your hand, but he refused, whistling nonchalantly as he dragged you through the park. You didn’t complain for long, enjoying the way he skipped along the path, bouncing your hands between you, warming your heart. You didn’t often get to see Hoseok this carefree, his long hours at work leaving him drained most days, and the way he beamed brightly while humming some top 40s song made you feel like you were melting.

“You’re chipper today,” you commented, just as the two of you reached the pond in the centre of the park. The clear still water reflected the azure, cloudless sky, a family of ducks splashing in the shallows. Hoseok pulled you closer, an arm around your shoulders as he licked his ice cream, before closing his eyes and facing the sky, the little dimples next to his mouth deepening in a serene smile.

“I finished the album! Signed, sealed, delivered!” He said excitedly after a beat, looking at you, his eyes scrunched in delight.

“Oh my god! Really?” Your high pitched tone matched his elation, as you wrapped your arms around him, uncaring that you ice cream was dripping down your arm. He didn’t care either since his arms did the same, curling around you as the two of you jumped excitedly, startling the row of ducklings that had decided to waddle by you.

“I’m so proud of you!” You squealed as he lifted you mid jump, spinning you around before placing you back on the ground. The two of you watched your treats land on the ground as if on cue, painting the grass an unnatural green, but you couldn’t care less. Hoseok had been working day and night on this album, often foregoing meals and sleep, and you were beyond thrilled that he would finally get a much needed break.

“Couldn’t have done it without my favourite person,” he said softly, before grabbing your hand once again and skipping towards the ice cream stand to replace your lost snacks. You couldn’t help but match his giddy walk, grinning like an idiot.

Hmm I think to not be so critical of myself. I spent a lot of my teenage years being hesitant to start things because I assumed I would be bad at it, theme making included! I pushed it off for an entire year. 

And also to push my parents for therapy sooner, I feel like that would have helped with the self doubt haha
