I do not know where they’re getting the “pedo” thing from. What the hell. What gets me the most though is the defending of Paris while calling Romeo a pedo? He ends his own life because he can’t be without Juliet. If he was really just a fuckboy he would’ve just. Yk and ditched. He doesn’t do that at all. He just acts like a sad teenager in the start because that’s what he is!! He’s not an fboy. He killed himself because he loves Juliet so much he can’t live without her. And he does feel guilty for becoming violent but even then that speaks to how sensitive and opposed to violence he is by nature. He is not a violent or predatory person. He doesn’t force Juliet to do things with him and she was just as in love with him as he was with her! There is not this massive age gap between the two, Romeo is not “alpha ceo with all the power” the whole point is two households ALIKE IN DIGNITY- there is not a power imbalance. So #tired of people slapping “pedo” on Romeo because they can’t take the time to actually look at the source material rather than trying to be quirky.
