so, in 2014, jype was so desperate and so far down with debt, they debuted GOT7 with a contract that was better for the sevens than the company. then they sent the sevens on a world tour and even though jype wasn’t getting the biggest share of the profit, they still managed to pay their debts.

but bc GOT7 just kept growing and growing internationally, it wasn’t such a good deal for jype because the company basically had to pay to produce albums, MVs, etc, but the money wasn’t coming back to jype because it was going to the artists.

so jype found it was a better idea to explore the newer groups that had contracts that favored the company and not the artists, instead of focusing on GOT7 because the sevens were the ones getting the money and not jype.
