These Christmas morning scrambled eggs are a quick and delicious breakfast option, perfect for a festive start to your day. The addition of fresh herbs adds a touch of elegance to this classic dish, making it a special treat for the holiday season.
Ingredients: 4 large eggs. 2 tablespoons butter. 1/4 cup milk. Salt and pepper to taste. Chopped fresh herbs e.g., chives, parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Crack the eggs into a bowl, add the milk, and whisk until well combined. Season with salt and pepper. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat and add the butter. Allow it to melt and coat the pan evenly. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and let it sit undisturbed for a few seconds until the edges start to set. Using a spatula, gently push the cooked edges towards the center, allowing the uncooked eggs to flow to the edges. Continue this process until the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top. Remove the skillet from the heat as the residual heat will continue cooking the eggs until they reach your desired level of doneness. Garnish with chopped fresh herbs and serve hot.
