It really is a mystery to me though how this is happening. The whitewashing is terrible but it’s terrible in a PREDICTABLE way. We’ve seen this shit happen before and we know the shitty reasons why they do it. Fundamentally misunderstanding the point of the main character though, that is very strange. It’s not even failing to portray him succesfully by making him too badass jerk or anything, it’s almost like a deliberate attempt to get it wrong. Bizarre.

I wasn’t even the biggest fan of those books )8 I liked parts of it a lot, but I liked them a lot less the further they went along. All the same now I’m suddenly feeling rather protective. Change in adaptions is necessary but jeez.

Oh why did you have to pair elastigirl and stratogale now the cape scene in the first movie is a lot less funny and a lot more sad. (Got any hc of how that went down when elastigirl heard about it?)

I imagine she didn’t feel up to flying planes for a while. :’)
