New Year’s Book Resolution: Holly Bourne
With the arrival of twenty-sixteen, we’re asking: What is your book resolution for the year ahead? Holly Bourne’s not only got two books coming out (How Hard Can Love Be? in February, and the third book in the “Normal” series later in the year), she’s also got some pretty big reading plans...
My new year’s book resolution is to re-read the Harry Potter books
2016 is the year of a rather significant birthday for me. Clue: it begins with “th” and ends with “irty”. To say I'm handling this well would be a LIE.
Growing older is weird, and adult life isn't always how you expect it to be. It's hard sometimes and unfair and cruel. Big birthdays force you to be reflective, and I'm realizing that I have less hope in my older age. Hope that you can change things, hope that humankind is not lost.
So I'm promising myself to re-read all the Harry Potter books this year. I'm a huge fan but I've not revisited the actual books in years. I honestly believe those stories make you a better person, and I want to enter the big three zero with the attitude of an Order of the Phoenix member rather than that of a dementor.
I may even blog my live re-read, we'll have to see. Happy new year everyone!
That’s a magical resolution if we ever saw one - and we may very well join in!
The Holly (Bourne) and the Ivy...

And what on earth does being “normal” mean?
