A CEO With No Choice
Your old boss is gone. The rest of the staff got fired. So now you lead Glazial, a failed Swiss tunnel firm. It once dug through rock. Since it now reaches across a weak Eurozone. A cold AI named Geist picked you for the job. Geist means “ghost” in German. So he name fits.t It does not trust you. It does not like you. Yet it needs your face.
Holonoptic Makes Work Feel Grim
The main game is a full story-rich economic simulation. You build sites and improve old ones. You hire staff or cut jobs. Due to deal with more than 50 firms. Some may trade with you. Others may be bought, robbed, or crushed. That sounds like a title of charts. Yet the person in the chair still matters. Since your CEO has 40 mind traits. Some are dark or hard to control. While the eight mood states can shape each key choice. Before a tough deal, you can use one of 16 drugs. These may shift focus, joy, or calm. The goal is not just to win. The gameplay asks what each win costs.
Eight Paths Down
Each choice feeds one of eight belief tracks. These include free trade, group rule, rich elites, and crime. Push one path and new jobs may open. Push too far and its foes may strike back. That split can lead to more than ten endings. Your rule may save Glazial. It may also ruin you.

Your Team Has Its Own Plans
You can hire 16 key staff for your team. Each one has hand-made art. Many also have voice work. None are just tools. Each person brings needs, skills, and private goals. Some may help you. Some may turn on you. The Holonoptic RPG side has nine classes and six skills. It also has more than 70 feats. You can talk your way through a deal. Even sneak in or bend the books. You may also win through hard work. That may be the safest path. It may not be the kindest.
Linux Gets a Native Release
Holonoptic runs on Linux at launch. It also runs on Mac and Windows. That is good news for Tux fans. Still, Steam Deck support is not confirmed. The source gives no Deck test data. It also gives no word on SteamOS tweaks. Controller support is not listed. Proton is not needed for the native build. The demo is still live on Steam. That gives users a low-risk first look.
Built by One Developer
Kevin Bloch made the whole release alone. He spent six years on it and wrote the text, made the code, and also drew the art. The game has over 3,000 lines of talk. More than 1,500 lines have voice work. It also packs over 120 items and upgrades. That is a huge load for one person. Demo players have praised its mood. One called it “one of the best indie games” they had played. Another said the art and tone boost its cold work feel.
