Hey I'm just curious I swear but do you have a source for that post about newt scamander being responsible for the werewolf registration act? Like what book is it in? Or is it not in a book?

It’s from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - not the film, but the book that was released for Comic Relief in 2001. The ‘About the Author’ page has this sentence:

‘Although almost solely responsible for the creation of the Werewolf Register in 1947, he says he is proudest of the Ban On Experimental Breeding, passed in 1965, which effectively prevented the creation of new and untameable monsters within Britain.’

Now, admittedly, how canon any of this information is is debatable. The same page also implies that he graduated from Hogwarts - although that could be him lying in-universe, we don’t know. But it’s there, and there’s nothing in the movie that refutes it, so it can be considered canon up until the point where it is contradicted. Regardless, it’s an interesting little bit of trivia.
