Literally my last fucking post on Squared was me praising it.

How the fuck am I back on the hate train after ONE UPDATE. MY GOD.

So in this update, the writers have done a couple things.

1. Canonize that Rose and Jade have fucked

2. Canonize that Rose and Jade have fucked while Rose is dating Kanaya

3. Canonize that Rose has a baby with Jade

4. Canonize that Rose and Jade have raised this baby in secret for fifteen years

5. Canonize that this baby’s name is fucking Yiffany Longstocks

6. WHICH CAN BE SHORTENED TO YIFFY, BY THE FUCKING WAY

7. Did I mention that Rose kept this information from HER FUCKING WIFE

8. Oh, and Dave never knew about this kid, too. Meaning that Jade was also cheating on Dave??? Jade doesn’t even get the fucking satisfaction of raising a child with her fucking crush of GOD KNOWS HOW LONG

HOW DID EVERYTHING CRASH SO HARD FROM THE PRETTY OKAY STATUS IT WAS AT! ESPECIALLY AFTER THE ENTIRE “VRISKA FUCKS SHIT UP” SEQUENCE

I’M SURE KANAYA WOULD’VE AT LEAST GONE LIKE “Jade And Rose It Is My Literal Destiny To Be A Mother I Am Fine With You Having A Child.”

And I’m sure like, ectobiology still exists??? Like, Dave and Jade couldn’t have just meshed their genes together???? Is that not how they fucking repopulated the ENTIRETY of Earth C???

Like even if Dave didn’t want the kid, Jade could’ve went up to Rose and go “ectobiology please!” No fucking could’ve been apart of this mess!!! Rose didn’t have to CHEAT!

homestuck hate post move along

i havent read the homestuck epilogue but literally everything ive heard about it from trusted sources vindicate my decision not to, as well as my abandoning any faith in hussie, or respect for him, a long time ago

the premise and characters of homestuck was great. the execution and author never were. 

quite frankly, the fact that i ever thought it was good is kind of embarrassing. like, the tired old ableist trope of “someone everyone thought was harmless goes off his drugs and is suddenly murderous and violent and thats just his inherent nature, and not withdrawal or a breakdown or anything, nevermind that most mentally ill people are more likely to hurt themselves than others”? thrilling. also hes racist now despite having never given a shit before, and also he hears voice and thats how you know hes dangerous. 

also in my defense i had already started losing appreciation for homestuck by the time it was said, but “you dont have to be a good person to be a hero!” uttered by a girl who just got done committing mass murder via mindcontrolling a bunch of teenagers into acting as bait? fucking stellar, especially when she both doesnt follow through with what she was trying to achieve and admits that it was never about saving anyone or stopping a great evil, she just wanted another chance to stroke her ego.

creating a huge cast just to get bored and realize you cant handle them all, so you kill off most of them. 

like. fantastic, completely coherent writing. very respectful in regards to abuse, like where tavros is verbally assaulted on the daily, crippled, and sexually assaulted, but its all fine because hes kind of pathetic, funny even, but when were fed a sloppily put together sub plot about terezi being victimized by the aforementioned caricature of hollywood portrayals of mental illness its completely serious despite coming out of nowhere for both characters involved. 

god. and then theres the fandom singing praises about how subversive it is.

dude one of them literally replied to my dni and then was absolutely FLABBERGASTED when i was annoyed that they we're interacting with me😭??

they also added me personally to their dni and started talking shit about me to other people!!
