it took hudson a few hours to find the will to move from his bed long after royal had left to head to school. he wasn’t even aware of the time but he knew his face was swollen and he was in a lot of pain. he moved into the kitchen after limping down the stairs. he could feel eyes on him as he walked to the freezer. the first thing he found, he rested it against his face. “what?” he said, trying to look at the other person in the room.
