Astara was 14 when she had her first encounter with monsters. She was on a field trip with her private school alongside her best friend Denarius, who seemed to be like her. It was this that led to the events of a gorgon coming after them. In their panic, they discovered their powers. With Astara's minor charmspeak and Denarius' shadow powers, they were able to get away. As the fates would have it, they ran into a satyr in their fleeing, with the help of Grover, the two were able to make it to Camp Half Blood.
The two settled in nicely, albeit unclaimed left in the Hermes cabin. The two stayed close together but made many friends, like Ana, Connor, Luke, Cate, Annabeth, Bucky, and Theo*. Many thought Astara was a daughter of Aphrodite with her charmspeak but after months and months of waiting for to be claimed, the rumors slowly went away. The Athena kids like Annabeth and Theo had ideas of her Godly parent, especially when they'd see her taking care of the younger kids in the Hermes cabin but they knew it couldn't be true, it wasn't possible.
When Percy finally came to camp, it was like dominos falling. It was like the fates had set off a series of events that couldn't be stopped. The capture the flag game changed everything, setting off the claims like dominos.
Not only was Percy claimed, but so was Astara and Denarius. Two kids of the Big Three? A son of Posideon AND a child of Hades? It was the most shock the camp had experienced since they could remember.
But it was Astara's claim that truly shocked them. At first they thought it was a joke, especially since it came days after Percy and Denarius being claimed. But with the shining symbol of Hera bright above her, it was clear it wasn't a trick.
The gods were furious, especially Zeus(though the god had no room to speak) 3 different kids of The Big Three(and Hera) had popped up in Camp Half Blood. In his anger, he sent them on a mission to retrieve his master bolt which was stolen. Luckily alongside Annabeth the four successfully got it and returned it.**
The First Titan War took a toll on them all, but it also gave way to love and heartbreak. After a quest, Astara had grown closer with Theo, and after a close call, she kissed him like he was her whole world(and it was true). They began dating shortly after much like their other friends like Ana and Bucky, Cate and Denarius, and Percy and Annabeth. But it wasn't only love they all experienced with the betrayal of Luke, it hurt them all deeply.
It was only after the Ten (plus Ana, Cate and Nico) defeated Gaia, they began to understand Luke's motivation. They all were so tired. After years and years of fighting, the freshly 18 year olds only wanted to have a year of peace without any interference from the gods(Astara still hadn't forgiven her mother for what she did to her, Percy and Jason).
The Fates(though not of their world) had other ideas in mind.
It started small, with Clarisse missing but it began to spread until her and her friends were stuck in Ancient Greece with Gods who look like their parents but distinctly aren't. Somehow, it was all Percy's fault.
