全球最具規模的HOOD to COAST人車接力賽台灣賽，11月27日於台東鹿野深夜開跑。HOOD to COAST人車接力賽長達24小時不間斷的毅力路跑，由5名選手加上1輛汽車，協力完成全長170公里的極限挑戰！台灣賽由台東鹿野高台開跑，沿途經過八仙洞、石梯坪等著名打卡景點，一覽台灣東海岸最美景觀。情歌王子范逸臣、「雷氏姊妹」理莎與艾美、運動甜心伊伊攜手好姊妹梓梓初次挑戰路跑活動、新世代蛙后李詹瑩等運動網紅挑戰完賽。
最終本屆賽事前三名隊伍都順利在12小時內順利完賽，冠軍「鋼鐵部隊」以11小時2分35秒成績率先抵達終點，成員王子銘也分享，儘管棒次因為強大風勢耗盡體力，但靠著隊友們在車上互相鼓勵，最終順利拿下冠軍寶座。第二名則由市民跑者組成「堅心絕隊」以11小時24分46秒奪下，成員也在完賽後分享他們的勝利攻略， HOOD to COAST是一場意志力的考驗，建議參賽跑者們要具備基礎的運動習慣，也可以找司機幫忙開車節省跑者的體力。
情歌王子范逸臣去年參加世界四大極地超馬拉松巡迴賽的納米比亞沙漠極地賽事，完成7天6夜全程250公里的艱鉅比賽。今年首度挑戰HOOD to COAST台灣賽，他表示每個隊友要在一天內平均分段跑約30公里的路程，相當考驗意志力。
HOOD to COAST最經典的魔王賽段「山道之神」，不僅要在14公里的路程中爬升327公尺，接著馬上要急速下降473公尺並一路跑向東海岸，考驗頂尖跑者的肌耐力與毅力。今年主辦單位YYsports更設計隱藏任務，只要跑者在早上六點半、黎明破曉前跑出「玉長隧道」，除了能遠眺海面上升起的第一道曙光，更可獲得特別訂製的日出掛帶，象徵征服「山道之神」的榮耀。
本次獲得第三名的「教練等一下」隊伍中長跑好手李翰暄擔綱挑戰山道之神的棒次，完賽後分享在跑出隧道口迎接黎明破曉時，有種「從黑夜跑向白天」的感覺，本次賽道雖與過往不同，但不變的是花東沿途美景與跑者們的熱情，令再次參加HOOD to COAST賽事的他內心相當澎湃。

天才跑者雷理莎這次與姊姊雷艾美兩人雖在賽前有些許傷勢，但熱愛跑步的雷氏姐妹很開心強調以「玩」賽性質來參加HOOD to COAST，藉由此機會用雙腳感受花東之美，有別於不同賽事，能更享受比賽與隊友一起完成的過程，最終也以12小時11分的佳績完賽奪下第四名。雷氏姐妹在完賽後分享，這次姐妹偕同參賽的感覺有別於以往，沿途隊友們互相加油、給予補給，更有團隊的凝聚感，比起獨自參賽更能享受沿途花東美景，雷理莎更開心表示未來可以跟兒子炫耀自己有過HOOD to COAST的參賽經驗。
虎牙甜心伊伊則與好閨蜜梓梓一起報名HOOD to COAST今年新創的全女子組別，身爲跑步新手的兩人，爲這次比賽展開跑步訓練，也分享因為和好閨密一起而開始愛上跑步的感覺。除了跑步之外，在車上等待隊友的時間也沒閒著，途經特色景點如北回歸線界標、石梯坪沿途留下不少美照。伊伊特別推薦與好閨蜜一起組隊參加，一車女生除了可以互相按摩、打氣應援之外，是相當難得的回憶。
一路向北用雙腳感受花東之美 完賽派對high翻全場
2020 HOOD to COAST主辦單位YYsports，爲了發掘更多台灣美麗賽道的可行性，每年的賽道路線都有不一樣的變化，今年以花蓮台開心農場為終點，設計一路向北的全新賽道。跑者從鹿野高台出發，沿途行經夜間熟睡的花東縱谷、玉長公路，在清晨仰望東方日出的長濱海灘和八仙洞，最後依傍太平洋海岸線，沿台十一線公路一路抵達花蓮。賽段挑戰難度更勝以往，但台灣東岸絕佳風景也在跑者心中留下深刻的悸動。
台灣為今年HOOD to COAST系列賽第一場如期舉辦的賽事，緊接將是中國賽事將於12月12 日在中國海南站起跑，但美國及國際多站因疫情影響皆無法舉辦，今年賽事主辦單位YYsports為提供選手更優質的賽事周邊服務，將選手的備品與補給品全面升級，在接力點設置按摩服務幫助選手放鬆肌肉。完賽隊伍可獲得五面刻有不同賽事經典LOGO的雷雕獎牌，更在終點處舉辦玩賽派對，邀請到宇宙人、顯然樂隊熱力開唱，將現場氣氛炒到最高點，為跑者一天激烈且難忘的賽事畫下完美句點。
Some times you think that things are going well and then god throws a wrench in your plans... you can accept it and do something about it although it’s never easy or you don’t do anything and hope things will turn your way again... either way, life somehow always turns out as it should, good or bad. My sweet sister found out she has breast cancer earlier this year and has been so brave through it all and I’m so proud of her as well as everyone else who is going through this journey as it is never easy trying to be the strongest person in the room because you don’t want your family to feel bad for your situation or be sad because people always feel off when they feel like they don’t have control of the situation. So yes, thank goodness they discovered the cancer now when it is super small and very likely will be able to get rid with chemo and maybe a small surgery. But the chemo is never easy as it’ll cause the individual energy loss, hair loss, etc. as it gets rid of the cancer cells. Today my sis was suppose to be in the Portland to Coast relay with her husband and this was suppose to be another big milestone for her after her wedding but because she can no longer be in it because of her cancer - she asked me to take her place because her team still needed her! So here I am again, in Portland again! You hear stories about people giving up a kidney for a loved one, or say things like take a bullet for them, or something like that and you wonder to yourself how they could ever do that because that means sacrificing a part of yourself for someone else’s well being... I was never as selfless of a person until it hit close to home but now of course I’d give my last dime to make sure all my siblings are ok even if I only had a nickel left.
