-The mice are all short breeds of ponies, Martin and Luke's line in particular have Shetland ancestry -Hedgehogs are donkeys, shrews are miniature donkeys -Mokugg is definitely a zebra hoof-picked by palomino King Agarnu (or whatever. The guy from Triss) for his pretty and exotic markings -All of the birds are hippogriffs -The hares are Thoroughbreds and live in herds on the beach lead by one Shire House -Redwall is basically one giant stable/farm complex -Martin + the 'Shire' lords wear that armour that you always see on medieval horses
