Alex goes shopping again and walks back to the store from yesterday and trashes those ladies Hamilton-style

Aaron is about to lose his case to Jefferson when Alex swoops in, points out some law Aaron overlooked or isn’t commonly used and Aaron is like “Omg you are brilliant this is awesome”

They actually kiss for the first time and have amazing sex

Aaron wins the case, he offers to pay Alex’s tuition for the rest of his studies and Alex objects at first, then they agree that it’ll be a credit so Alex has to pay it back later

Alex accepts that and goes to finish Law School and he and Aaron eventually work together

Flint gazes at him and then he inclines his head slightly and Silver takes this as permission to inch forward on his knees and pressing his lips to Flint’s left thigh.

When Flint remains silent, Silver looks up then. The man’s just gazing at him with a puzzled furrow in his brow like he can’t make sense of Silver. Silver’s intimately familiar with that look. Flint’s hand settles on his jaw, gripping him not ungently, but still forcefully enough so he can look more fully into Silver’s eyes. “What did you mean by that?”

“They’re good reminders,” Clint says, his hand wound into Bucky’s hair and scratching idly. Bucky makes a softly enquiring noise but doesn’t stop his mouth moving, gently dragging over the puckered skin on Clint’s shoulders, his thumbs brushing against the matching scars on his back. 

“They were from my teacher,” Clint says, answering Bucky’s unspoken question, they way he always does. Bucky would like to think it’s ‘cos Clint knows him well enough to infer; he suspects it’s just ‘cos Clint’s a talker and he’s running low on people to talk to. Clint’s voice is low and kinda dreamy, doesn’t match the subject matter at all, and Bucky runs his tongue across discolored skin and takes the soft grunt as his due. 

“He was an asshole and a genius and he taught me everything I know,” Clint says. “He taught me to shoot and then he left me to die, which is a pretty good reflection of every significant relationship in my life.” 

“Marks?” Bucky says, and Clint tightens his hand a little in his hair. Bucky’s quiet groan ain’t even acting. 

“Sure,” he says, and Bucky moves up so he can go for Clint’s neck. Make it somewhere visible. 

“Reminders of what, then?” Bucky asks, and Clint starts to answer and then bites back a hiss, arching his back and pressing his hips up against Bucky as he sucks and nibbles and bruises Clint’s neck. 

“Trusting people never works out right,” Clint says, and then he hauls Bucky up and sets to distracting him, disordering him, setting him all backwards and breaking all his goddamn rules. 

“You saying,” Bucky asks, in the sweat and warmth and darkness of after, “you sayin’ you don’t trust me?” 

“Sure I do,” Clint says, grinning gentle and pretty, Bucky’s own reminders standing out on his neck, “‘swhat I pay you for, right?”

Amelia wanted to try her best to make this special for James. After all, he'd done so much for her and made her so happy, she simply wanted to make him smile on his birthday.

They had lunch at the dog park with Bucky, and she surprised him with a ring that a wolf head on it when she asked James to retrieve Bucky's favorite chew toy from the doggie bag.

Johnny and Vanessa puppy-sat Bucky so Amelia could take him out for a nice dinner, and then to a 1940's styled club that was hosting a mini-concert by a band doing well performed covers of Frank Sinatra songs. Once they were back home, there was a small, homemade chocolate cake for them to split, and she got James a new leather jacket. She told him she had to go clean up the dishes in the kitchen from the cake promising to join him for a movie.

Of course, instead, when Amelia did come back to their bedroom, she was wearing red stockings with a matching garter belt and a red nightie that tied in the front. She leaned in the doorway, smiling faintly at him. “I think you have one last gift to unwrap, James...”

Picking up the remote control, he started flicking through the channels until they ended up on some romantic comedy he didn’t particularly like - but Amelia might.

Amelia snuggled up close to him, draping one of her arms across his stomach, shutting her eyes as she nuzzled his chest. It’d been a long day, and honestly, she just wanted to rest with him. She mumbled a ‘thank you’ into his shirt, relaxing in his hold. She didn’t even care what movie they did watch, so long as she was-- Her eyes opened when she heard a very obnoxious giggle from a woman on the TV.

She scoffed, holding back a laugh, as she saw the typical romantic comedy on screen, and she could tell with the lack of narration that it wasn’t a trailer for a movie. It was the actual movie. Curious, she looked up at James, trying her damnest not to laugh, but she was still grinning. “This is what you want to watch?”
