Fast Google search, and you're absolutely right. Somehow I missed that Nick wasn't the face model, since he did the mocap.

Man, that sucks, honestly. On both sides. Fans for making him uncomfortable, and him for dignifying it with a comment. I hate that for us all.

Oh my gods, I pinpointed exactly what it is that makes Aeon a non-ship for me. Rewatching their speedboat ride in RE4R, and he says "I've changed." And Ada says, "You haven't changed. You just think you have."

It's not Doctor and River Song energy, I was wrong.

It's Eris and Sinbad energy.

A heartless, efficient woman who is intrigued by this man against her better judgment, so she can't help getting involved in his life and luring him into her business. And if she allows him to say he's changed, that simply highlights that she hasn't. /Is unwilling to. So she rejects it, saying he hasn't changed even if he wants to have.

But Sinbad did do the right thing, regardless of Eris' desires.

And Leon did change and grow, and also hasn't lost that sterling silver moral code. So there it is, the contrast that confronts Ada with how dark she is compared. At least Ada reroutes the chopper at the end. I give her full credit for that. She can't help but let him change her in little chipping efforts.

Oh no, don't worry, you're definitely gonna find your place in the Resident Evil fandom. I mean, it's 30 years of lore! You've got the original releases, the remakes, spin offs, novels, mangas; there is so much to enjoy. There are YouTube channels dedicated just to RE content, that's how rich the story is. I genuinely believe this is one of the most talented and generous fandoms, fan content is out of this world. But I definitely advice you to proceed with caution, given you're an empath, especially now. Usually after the release of a new game things are pretty hectic for a while. And there's always a bunch of people who just want to be mad at actors about something or cringy towards them or generally awful to other fans and it can be discouraging. I guess it's now Nick's "turn" to make somehing up about him. Whenever I need a reminder of how lucky we are to have him and other actors I go to their Twitch or Youtube channels to watch the streams and their interactions with fans. I assure you, they all are absolute sweethearts. I avoid post-release interviews and promotional media, because I feel like recently they're just designed to embarass the actors and fans. My advice for you is to mercilessly block everyone who gives off a malicious vibe. After 6 years in this fandom I'm super happy to simply hang out in my bubble with my favourite content creators. You take good care of yourself! I hope you find your people and only positive experience here!

Well, okay, some clarifying, I got in when 7 came out. Not for the franchise but because I'm a devoted Markiplier and Jacksepticeye fan. I spent most of 2016 and 2017 watching their horror let's plays like religion, so RE7 and Village were beloved.

What's really funny about it is that I was in love with Ethan, and my girlfriend kept being like, ".....eventually your tism will let you look deeper, I know you're going to love Leon." Lmao.

A decade later and they both played RE9, and I was like, "I'm not into this franchi--who is that." Story of my life, same thing is how Clint Barton sucked me into the MCU for a decade of my life. 😂

So.....as a sensitive empath who likes happiness and cries easily, I should avoid diving in deep? Because I fucking hate when fandom is so toxic that no one can enjoy the thing anymore lol.
