Broken Condolences // Daisy & Sybill
It wasn’t often that Sybill felt the Aversio meetings dragged on forever. Most of the time she was involved, rapt attention to what was at hand, eager to add to the cause. But after the incident... Greengrass... if she didn’t apply her mind to the situation she would be left with a daydreaming mind that too often turned into nightmares. Sybill couldn’t afford to have a break down in the middle of the meeting, already feeling like she was looked down on in the group. She wasn’t a go-getter or a particularly strong witch, and she needed the rest of the group to see her as strong, to prove she belonged.
So she tried to keep her mind focused on the present, but it was hard... story after story of attack with varying success. Thankfully a few of the other members went on long enough that Sybill was not forced to recount her own struggles, not yet. They made plans for the next meeting and dispersed, little by little as not to arouse suspicion. Sybill was waiting her turn when she noticed Daisy, sitting with her head in her hands.
While Sybill had been having difficulty communing with the other realm, something about the girl ignited her gift. She saw a darkness encroaching on her aura, the usually sunny yellow tinged with a navy that was spreading rapidly. She hadn’t spoken much with Daisy before the incident, so she was fairly certain speaking with her now wouldn’t end with terrible flashbacks to the night... She walked over to Daisy, hesitantly.
“Hello, dear. Do you mind if I sit next to you until it is our turn to depart?” She smiled -- a somewhat weak and unconvincing smile, but one nonetheless. She was trying, at least -- as she pulled a chair over to take a seat beside Daisy. She idly twisted the bracelet on her wrist. “If hope you don’t mind me asking, but your aura seems quite troubled. Would you like me to... erm... commune with the other realm and see if I can assist you in your troubles?”
