The past is the past...
For all of her life, Foeslayer's life has been dictated by everyone else around her instead of herself. Even what she thought was her biggest choice was something out of her control. And what did it get her? A husband who hated her son and treated her daughter like an ornament and cared more about himself than her, a war between two tribes, and a queen who kept her prisoner for over two thousand years to be killed over and over again for the Diamond Trials, and a son who nearly conquered Pyrrhia and enslaved every dragon in it for the crimes of a few dragons.
Now, Hope has a chance to raise her son, Peacemaker, far away from the treachery and pain of war. Peacemaker knows nothing about his former identity as Darkstalker and never will. Peacemaker will never know the poison that Darkstalker did, never know the poison that plagued his mother's life as Foeslayer. But now, an unexpected threat from the distant past threatens to upend and destroy the second chance Hope was so desperate to live.
Soon enough, Hope will have to make a choice. Run and hide or stay and fight?
