True story, before becoming a serve enthusiast - Anthony Minor was trying to quit the church. But he just couldn’t shake the genuine and personal kind of love he was experiencing at Hope City Church in Houston, TX. On a vacation with his wife, he read the book Servolution and it sparked something in his heart. Before he even got home, he put the word out on social media that he was coming home to SERVE… asking people to just let him know what they needed. Ever since then he and his wife, Michelle, have been 1000000% all in to serve people with the love of Jesus in their city, throughout the nation, and across the world. They have a saying that “your 'yes' changes lives” and they’re proof of just how true that is.

Is your child your friend or your foe. What do you think they are thinking about you? If you don’t have a friendship with your child they will turn to their peers for this connection and you will lose them. Many parents tell me they need to be a parent first. Nope you are wrong. Sucks to be wrong. Were you friends with your partner before you got together. Got married? Or did you just run to the alter. If you did you are probably divorced now or single. We need to foster a friendship with our children from a very early age. However it is never too late to start. A friendship is built upon love, trust, honor and respect. Those things are earned and not given away so easily. So make them your friend and then the door is wide open for the acceptance of the parenting role and the mutual love will just flow as natural as a running stream. You will be able to parent from a place of love and peace. Or you can try to force feed them your rules, regulations and expectations. How do you think that will work out for you? How has that been working? Be their friend and the parenting part you won’t even feel like you are working.
