Guy de Maupassant went hard asf with the Horla. Guy gets tormented by a ghost who basically just drinks his water and reads his books, sometimes picks a rose and gives it to him, and he spends the entire book describing how he feels dominated by him, how he can feel him drinking the life out of his lips, how he feels the need to submit to him… some of us just need to write a 50 page novel about getting metaphorically dominated by a sexy well-read ghost. Yes he also burns down his own house but I feel that’s not as important
