oh no oh no oh no please don't let it be hornblower, he really wouldn't be self-sacrificing enough to jump on a ship that is literally a giant powder keg that is LITERALLY ON FIRE and heading towards all the other ships in the harbor. he's supposed to be taking his examination to become a captain. he's definitely not out there right now. he wouldn't be that careless. don't look. don't look. oh god. I looked. it's him. how could I have ever believed for a second that anyone else BESIDES HORNBLOWER in the ENTIRE BRITISH NAVY would be RIDICULOUS ENOUGH to gET ON A SHIP THAT IS LITERALLY FULL OF AMMUNITION (AND HEADING TOWARDS THREE OTHER SHIPS FULL OF AMMUNITION), AND ALSO IT IS ON FIRE

It really must've. Especially for Archie, after all the time he'd spent there, all he'd endured, but for every single one of them it must have been so hard.
And they didn't show it a bit--Navy men, I guess, is all you can really say.
But now they're off. Free.
I've a feeling they'd cheer liberty just as heartily as the French Revolutionaries would/did, in the end.
