Prompt 9 - Horrified

Previous part First part

This was one of James’s favourite places, right on top of Regulus, squashing him into the mattress. He felt like the world around him didn’t exist while he stared into those slightly annoyed grey eyes. 

“James,” Regulus grumbled unhappily, and James bowed his head to kiss him, readying himself for worshipping Regulus all night long. 

“Boys, I just wanted to say goodnight. Oh! Sorry!” Effie walked in and then walked straight back out. He and Regulus looked at each other, horrified. James snorted, and then they were both rolling around on the bed laughing like mad. 

“Sorry!” Effie called again as she hurried down the hall and into hers and Monty’s room. 

“Night, Mum!” James called to her through bouts of laughter. 

“James, if I’m going to sleep in your bed, I insist on a lock for that door,” Regulus panted as their laughter ebbed away.

“Yes, love,” James agreed before pushing Regulus back onto the bed and covering him again. He captured his mouth before he could complain and started his worship all over again.

Im hearing tiny creaking sounds from the walls and it's triggering my trauma rn lmao my mom has a concert tomorrow i have to sleep

It's 3 a.m and when that happened, it was 4.17 in the morning. I slept just an hour before it happened so if the building collapsed that night and i survived under cement blocks, guilt would probably be my reason of death because "if only i could've stayed awake for one more hour i could've saved myself and my family" type shit yk

Thankfully my apartmen building survived both earthquakes but after that happened it took me months before i accepted even stepping near the entrance of the 8-floors high building. Even after three years i still have nightmares about it and a habit of looking at the hanging lamps to see if they're moving at the slightest of sounds i hear.
