Simon opening the door to his flat, and Johnny stops talking mid-sentence because there's a woman in the kitchen singing Kesha and cooking dinner. She's wearing an old army shirt that says RILEY across the shoulders and long socks.
When she catches sight of them, she grins. "Hey, babe. Who's this?
Johnny says, "Didn't know you had a bird, LT." He's about to step forward and offer his hand, but Simon stops him. When he looks up, Simon's paler than usual.
"You can see 'er?"
horror concepts: "cleaning service from hell"
it was supposed to be an easy job. all katrina had to do was clean out an old, abandoned rv, but by doing so she comes across the reason it was abandoned. the dirty rv was hiding the opening to another world, and now something is spilling out into our world. is it human like us or something more sinister?
Hear me out:
Horror space movie with no humans.
Horror space movie in a random planet we don’t know.
Horror space movie where everything is dark and foggy, but it’s playing ambient, mildly unsettling music.
Horror space movie where the camera is walking around, simply looking at the planet.
Horror space movie where we’re walking through a planet with different biomes every few miles.
Horror movie where we see figures- figures of vaguely human shaped bodies- cracking and shuffling in the background, through the trees.
Horror movie where a light is shining right in front of where the perspective is, gazing at small things- rocks with different colored moss, strange, giant, twisted trees with strange vines, a desert with black sand, an atmosphere where the ocean is purple and not blue, making the sky a deep violet.
A movie where the air is a frigid gold, where the creatures are different, where the rocks are the same and everything is green, but tinted a blue hue.
A movie where everything is much bigger, where the trees are as large as mountains and the animals are feasting upon plants that seem to be endlessly growing and moving along the landscape.
A movie where the world seems to move around where the perspective is.
A horror movie where we, ourselves, are the alien, walking through a planet no one has ever seen before, slowly learning how to survive, and slowly suffocating from the overabundance of oxygen in the air.
Our sensors are slowly depleting. Our chest is starting to hurt. The animals are starting to notice we’re alive. And yet, we press on. We slowly gather food- strange food we can somehow digest through chance-, water that tastes like stones and sweetened boiled eggs, and a ship that we’re slowly repairing.
There are little jumpscares. The movie plays like a video game, almost. We only see the world through our suit. We send drones out to scope out areas before we go there ourselves. We somehow find communications with another ship a few light years away.
Nothing in particular is hunting us, and yet, we’re in a planet that seems to swallow us whole. It feels almost liminal, and yet, it’s in a completely different perspective than what we’ve seen before. You swear some of the animals look the same as they do on earth- such as crabs- but you could never say for certain.
We are in another planet’s Cretaceous period, and a volcano is due to erupt any day now. The movie ends with a ship being seen on the horizon two seconds before the sky turns to ash and the world grows dark.
Also I had this kinda music in mind for it (anything from this channel really)
omegaverse as a horror concept is so grossly underrated. Imagine being an overtly dominant, confident, powerful person, but coming into contact with a kind of supernatural force will force your body into natural submission against all of your will or better judgement to the point of not even knowing yourself. You are not who you think you are no matter how you fight against it. Your body seems to know something older than you. and it will win.
obessed with concept of The House That Bleeds. A house that witnessed so many horrors that it became one itself. A house so full of hatred that it learns to hate. A house that has come alive with the force of the man made horrors it contains.
