The A Nightmare on Elm Street game for the NES is one of the better LJN games. In fact, it’s one of my favourite horror NES games. I bought an NES Four Score last year in hopes of doing a big-screen run of the game at the cinema I used to run. But, y’know... *waves arms*...
What I didn’t know what that the game has quite the development history. Initial beta concepts had you playing Freddy, and not one of the four Elm St. kids, which was quite the leap.
The website above shows some of the initial ad work, but it was this YouTube video that tipped me off on this. I hope this version surfaces someday!
