Trying something NEW this #FoodieFriday with a whole day @bacchanal.to to feature some NEW menu items + a few classics with guest eater @seejackrunn 🙌🏻 • @bacchanal.to offers a selection of modern French dishes, almost exclusively French wines, a variety of cocktails, + a delicious desserts. • We started with a selection of #horsdouevres with their house bubbles. Offered individually, as a selection of 3 or 5, we chose 3 to leave room for mains + dessert. • We tried their house #duck #prosciutto with pickled beets, their house #pickledherring with #cremefraiche, + Oeufs Pépin with pickled anchovies, capers, + Marie Rose sauce. • Their #soupedepoisson, a classic French dish presented in style with seafood salad, rouille, + squid ink tuile served with a side of broth, poured at the table + combined to create a rich seafood soup with just cooked fish. • Salmon ‘vigneronne’, salmon with red wine butter sauce, shallots, lentils, + salmon roe on a bed of cooked greens. • #paupiettedeveau, veal, foie gras, Périgord sauce (black truffle sauce), soubise (slow cooked onion + butter sauce), + shaved black truffle. • Paris - Brest, a choux pastry filled with hazelnut praline crémeux. • We love exploring #Toronto’s delicious neighbourhoods but sometimes it’s hard to give a larger picture stopping in for one dish at a time.
