Horse Lung’s Gethsemane Haze was easily one of the best stoner metal album i’ve heard in the last few years, so this split had me waiting, even more, when i saw the single track’s length! So yeah, naturally i plunged right into it, and what i can say is that while it’s not better than the aforementioned album, but it has it’s moment. This track is way more into the regular doom/sludge department with a bit of psychedelic influences here and there. Erode plays straight up sludge as it is indicated from the fact that they have a Noothgrush cover included here (Even if it’s their track from Bleeeeaaaaaaaaurgh… A Music War), and i wasn’t really moved by their contribution to the split, it was not terrible, but nothing special either.
