This is Lucky! He is indeed very “lucky” 😍 On May 11, 2021 Lucky rolled and was trapped under the lower portion of his stall at his owners home. It happened in the middle of the night and Lucky struggled to escape. The owner called us that morning after he cut Lucky free and we rushed to go help. Lucky was down and unable to stand. He had a pelvic fracture and peroneal nerve injury. We used a truck to move him to our stables (first time in the history of this island where a vehicle was used to move a pony). Lucky was strong and wanted to survive so we worked very hard for many months on rehabilitation. Going from unable to stand…to walking on three legs…to limping…to swimming…to running! Today you would never know Lucky suffered such a bad injury. He is a resident here and helps us out by pulling a cart a few times a week bringing grass or rice bran. This keeps his mind busy and helps keep him in shape. In years past Lucky would have been slaughtered…but thankfully things have changed and we can help what often seems hopeless. 🙏Please Help Rescue 🙏

Hey guys,

I don't normally post things like this, but I'm trying to rescue a thrown away unidentified, late teenager, thoroughbred gelding. He's currently held at the Stroud Killpen and I'd like to pull him earlier than him waiting until I'm paid next Wednesday. The longer he stays at the KP the more likely he can contract viruses and infections (something his body probably couldn't handle).

He is extremely malnourished. His bones are extremely visible and he just needs a soft landing and a good home (which I can provide). He'll need lots of groceries, a farrier (since it seems like he hasn't seen one in years), medical exam, and many other things. He is not 100% sound either so rehabilitation/chiropractor will probably be needed.

You can tell by the way he acts that he is a big gentle sweetheart, and him ending up there is no fault of his own. He will be my third rescue horse to pull from a KP and he'll be my worst case. I've never had a horse so malnourished, but I'm willing to put in the time, effort, patience, and money.

I plan on pulling him Wednesday when I am paid and saving his life, but the fundraiser is just to try and help me get to him sooner. His "bail" is $750 and I'm already $120 there from two people. So we aren't far from the goal. If you're unable to donate would you please share this instead? Any help is greatly appreciated. 🙏

Hopefully you guys recognize this pony as Summer. I’ve posted about her countless times, as she was Goldie's best friend up until the day he left this earth. She helped me cope after losing him, and she taught me just how special miniature horses are. 

I’ve just found out that last night she had emergency surgery due to an impaction. Her condition has worsened and its going to cost alot to save her, if its possible.
