Theories and speculation

Hi I dont really theorize that much but I just played delta rune and i have to get this outtake my head so bare with me.

What we know-

1.DeltaRune has a connection to undertale a sequel, prequel, or alternate telling is unknown

2. Chara and Kris have some kind of connection or may even be the same person kris has 90 hp the same amount you have at the end of a genocide run in undertale not to mention the ending

3. The characters of undertale are alive and on the surface but seem to have no memory of the underground implying that either this is not a sequel or their memories have somehow been erased.

My theory

At the end of the genocide route in undertale in order to go back to the game you need to give your soul to chara I believe this is out of necessity. Chara is most likely soulless and therefore doesnt have enough determination of their own to go back to previous saves. So they take frisks soul we know that chara is capable of remaking the world but it was never specified how. Is it possible that chara used frisks soul to make the world of deltarune a world where their brother never died and everyone lives on the surface happily and they still have that soul? Chara and Frisk Kris? I dont know but the thought just wouldn't let me go anyway what do you think
