Question for the hunter/eq ppl!!!
I see a big difference the way jumpers move compared to hunters. I know hunters it's how the horse performs and such and not being judged on the riders eq, and vise versa. But how in the world can you jump over 3 ft and be so heavy on the forehand and have no boots? Isn't it awkward. Watching the Devon horse show the hunter rounds it looked like it took the horse so much effort to throw themselves over the jump? Didn't look really attractive to me? Maybe that's the eventer speaking from me, while on the jumpers I adore the movement of being collected and balanced... Anyone help me with this?
