it's been hours since the rest of the group retired to their rooms for the evening. it often ends up this way, sunhee and jimin left to spend the later parts of the evening together. without the others around her, sunhee doesn't feel the responsibility to ignore her own thoughts quite as much. it's when she finds herself at her most honest, in the company of jimin, alone.

the conversation isn't always heavy, either. sometimes, the night ends with the two of them laughing, trying not to wake up anybody else. sunhee looks forward to this time, so much so, that it's been starting to concern her, recently.

she's known, for a few weeks now, that something in her yearns for jimin, as more than a close friend. she's tried to keep it under wraps, the way that her gaze has lingered, the way that she'll keep her hands touching the other in some way after a routine, for as long as she can.

sunhee doesn't dare to cross that line. for fear that jimin doesn't feel the same way that she does, for fear that it would ruin their friendship - for fear that jimin would think that it's the only reason that she looks forward to their time together.

something about tonight is different. sunhee drops herself onto the couch beside jimin, pulls her own legs beneath her before she glances over at the other. the urge overtakes her, sunhee doesn't have the willpower to deny it, she doesn't want to. she doesn't know when she'll feel this brave again.

"jimin-" she opens her mouth to speak, to try to explain this away before it even happens. for once in her life, sunhee hasn't calculated what she's going to say, she doesn't know what to say. "just... stop me, if i have this wrong, please."

she adjusts herself on the couch, it suddenly occurs to her that it's been far too long since she actually kissed somebody. sunhee slides her hand along jimin's jaw and leans in to her- she hesitates, just for a second. she's nervous. she swallows it and wills it away before she finally connects their lips, before the fear completely leaves her.

TRUTH, heavy in her word. No, it was not Mystery, nor demons, nor hunters, true, that drove Celeste into the bosom of Otraybia once more. But, a vivid, growing sickness that would plague her. The sort that only being nestled in the homeland, could cure. Her nest there, fixed, and neighbors new visited. A FINCH PAIR, upstairs, wary at first of a hawk ; but 'pon seeing her size, the shine of her smile, grew easy.

Her head would tip to the side, claws coming through downy plumage 'round her neck, absent, habitual. She did not enjoy the TELL of its' puff ; flattery, embarrassment, so much had her a - fluff. Her smile comes small, at the knowledge that ─ to some measure ─ she was missed.

September  20th,  2025  —  Times  Square,  Seoul.

After  what  seemed  to  be  a  quiet  few  months  regarding  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑  𝐎𝐅  𝐒𝐄𝐎𝐔𝐋,  it  seems  as  though  another  body  has  appeared  in  the  city.  A  citizen  had  called  911  immediately  when  she  noticed  the  body,  tied  up  to  a  wooden  pyre  like  the  other  corpse-like  shrines  left  by  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑  outside  of  Times  Square  Mall.   The  call  was  made  at  6  :  00  AM  on  Saturday,  September  20th  2025.  The  citizen  was  on  her  way  to  work  when  she  suddenly  saw  the  body  hanging.  The  woman  described  that  the  body  attached  to  the  pyre  was  bound  at  the  wrists  and  ankles,  𝐀  𝐆𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐄  in  his  chest  with  his  heart  missing,  &  his  head  tipped  forward,  eyes  open  &  rolled  back.

𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐃  𝐖𝐀𝐒  𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐃  𝐀𝐒  𝐋𝐄𝐄  𝐇𝐀-𝐉𝐎𝐎𝐍  (  23  ),  one  of  the  rappers  of  𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐄𝐓  𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑  𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓’𝐒  new  boy  group,  𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐌𝟒𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐄,  whose  other  members  include  Han  Soo-jin  (  𝐁𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐌𝟒𝐊𝐄𝐑  ) , 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐉𝐀𝐄-𝐁𝐄𝐎𝐌, & 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐆  𝐃𝐀𝐄-𝐇𝐎  (  younger  brother  to  retired  𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐂  member,  Jung  Cheol-min  /  𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐌𝐈𝐍  ).

Authorities  suspect  that  this  may  be  a  𝐂𝐎𝐏𝐘  𝐂𝐀𝐓  𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐑,  for  as  similar  as  the  murder  &  the  way  it  was  presented  is  similar,  it  was  noted  that  the  body  was  not  𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐃  like  the  other  victims  of  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑,  leaving  the  victim  identifiable,  as  well  as  the  victim’s  heart  was  missing  from  the  scene  as  a  whole.

Authorities  are  still  currently  working  on  identifying  the  causes,  reasoning  & investigating  any  clues  that  may  lead  to  what  they  assume  is  a  𝐂𝐎𝐏𝐘  𝐂𝐀𝐓  𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐑.

𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐄𝐓  𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑  𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓  has  not  made  any  comments  as  of  yet  regarding  the  murder  itself,  but  asks  that  your  thoughts  are  with  the  deceased's  friends,  family  &  groupmates  as  they  handle  the  loss  in  this  trying  time.

𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒  𝐇𝐀𝐃  𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍  𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐈𝐅  𝐍𝐎𝐓  𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄  during  this  time.  He  was  grateful  for  that,  at  least  –  but  he  couldn't  wash  away  the  feeling  that  he  had  somehow  failed  them  by  getting  himself  injured.  Of  course,  he  saved  Jiyong's  life,  and  that  was  much  more  important  in  his  eyes,  but  within  the  aftermath,  he  couldn't  stop  himself  from  feeling  ...  guilt,  for  some  reason.

𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘  𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄  𝐀𝐋𝐋  𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄  ;  all  of  them.  Each  one  of  them  held  each  other  so  close,  and  he  was  glad  that  it  didn't  change  at  all.  He  knew  that  they  would  all  have  his  back,  and  he  would  have  theirs  –   that's  how  it  had  always  been.  And  Yu-jin  had  always  been  a  remarkable  leader  ;  he  commended  him  for  that.

Hand jammed again. Mid-fix, but without company. Thankfully, most of the more complicated work was already done. All that's left to do is slot everything in place, give the device a quick polish and ... presto — basically brand new. With one repair finished, he switches onto another. There's no need to excuse himself to work on his newly malfunctioning appendage in the privacy of his own flat — or so he thought.

The front door swings open and F1X goes still.

Only one person has complete access to his home. Traditional locks can only do so much with the sort of clientele he runs, but Damien's been logged into the more ... infrared based security a while back. Still, he's notified of entry even without the use of obvious alarms. Anyone else and he would've barred them at the threshold immediately. Trade secrets that tie in with his body are kept hidden for a reason. But there's no attempt to conceal the convoluted inner working of his hand. The synthetic skin remains peeled back. His good hand stays half suspended in air, unwoven at the joints to allow tools of all sorts to resume the repairs.

It's a show of trust that no one else has ever had the privilege to witness.

Sometimes it scared her how friendly the townsfolk can be. Regardless, the skater is parking a seat across from the other. Legs dangling & kicking gently from the seat's height. Humming very quietly even when music is paused.
