Life´s too short for weird music - Tagesempfehlung 21.03.2016
Jodie Abacus / Hot Kitchen

Jodie Abacus- Hot Kitchen
Jodie Abacus is little known amongst the mainstream pop world but is making waves with the release of Hot Kitchen at the start of December. This is not to mention the forthcoming sold out at London’s Roundhouse last night.
With this in mind, it is only right, Jodie Abacus makes our Wednesday Lunchtime Chill.
I feel like there’s gonna be a drinking game soon where every time Coca Cola is mentioned in this song you have to take a shot. Anyway Jodie Abacus is literally a modern day version of Earth, Wind And Fire and if that alone isn’t enough to sell you then I don’t what is. Hot Kitchen is a disco track mixed with old school soul, motown and funk elements that merge together to make an incredibly infectious track. With that slick guitar, funky synth beats, catchy hook and rough vocals that perfectly contrast the smooth sound, its honestly hard not to get into the groove of this track - Jakk
