““Rolling’ Drunken Man,” Toronto Globe. March 4, 1910. Page 03. ---- Severe Sentence Given Young Englishman at Parry Sound --- (Special Despatch to The Globe.) Parry Sound, March 3 - Deputy Sheriff Armstrong and an assistant left here yesterday with Harry Berry, convicted of robbery from the person, and sentenced to two years and a half in the penitentiary. Berry, who is a young Englishman, about thirty years of age, was convicted of ‘rolling’ a drunken man at the Hotel Kipling and stealing $45 in cash, a watch, and chain, and some other articles. This crime has been rather prevalent here lately, and the Police Magistrate states that all persons convicted in future of this crime will be sentenced to penitentiary for a long term.
