What if Jason didn’t end up in Elysium?

*Jason’s POV*

The last thing I remembered was the feeling of a spear being driven into my back. I assumed that my life would end right there, but for some reason, I slipped into a world of dreams. Different moments of my life flashed before my eyes. Camp Jupiter. The quest with Piper and Leo, the war against Gaea. And many, many more. 

I suddenly felt something tight around my wrist. I tried to free myself, but no avail. “Will you stop moving around?” I heard a voice yell. 

Startled, I opened my eyes. Immediately I noticed that I was off the ground. It seemed like I was flying. I gasped involuntarily. I quickly noticed I wasn't alone. A girl was holding onto my wrist tightly and was pulling me along with her like a puppet. She wore chainmail and a silver helmet, which covered the green headscarf she was wearing to cover her hair. She glanced at me with her chocolate brown eyes. 

“Who are you?” I asked. 

“I’m Samirah Al Abbas.”

“Where are you taking me?” 

She looked away from me and focused her gaze straight ahead. 

“All your questions will be answered soon enough,” she answered cryptically. She didn’t offer any other explanation. I let the mild turbulence in the air lull me to sleep.

I suddenly found myself in a large courtyard. I pushed myself up to my feet and I noticed that I felt good as new, even though I had just been stabbed violently in the back. Strange. 

A man approached me. 

“Excuse me,” I started. “What is this place?”

The man smiled at me and said four words that changed my life er- death. 

“Welcome to Hotel Valhalla.”
