Most of the Combiners, along with Omega Supreme and Skids, were involved in the battle for the Ark, where the Decepticons attempted to press an attack on the former Autobot base. These events have only briefly been recorded—I believe they can be seen in the collected edition of Transformers: The Animated Movie, by IDW.

Fortunately, the Autobots were able to weather the assault, preserving the Ark until Trypticon's fateful assault in the following year.
