Democrats are not monoliths. Democratic politicians are just as capable of being bigoted and supporting terrible laws as republican politicians. There are democratic politicians who support what Isreal is doing right now. There are democratic politicians who want KOSA to pass this monday knowing full well who it harms.
All this to say, if you plan on voting, it is your obligation to actually look into the people you are voting for, and to learn their political stance beyond a letter next to their name before you throw your support behind them.
Do your due diligence before you vote.

US Republican House budget proposition
I just read some of the propositions for the GOP house budget for 2023 out of curiosity as someone posted their document. I’m an LGBT minority in Eastern Europe, and a lot of policies the US does end up echoing hard with people demanding the same here. The current propositions will do a lot of things, like cutting down on many public funding projects and giving many tax cuts to private companies. One thing that just sickened me was the propositions for anything related to gender affirming care and gender identity. This kind of stuff terrifies me, because during Trump’s presidency there were thugs organized and inspired by US conservatives, seeking to beat up LGBT people on the streets. This kind of stuff is just scary to think about.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House's second-ranking Republican, Rep. Steve Scalise, repeatedly refused to say on Sunday that the 2020 election wasn’t stolen, standing by Donald Trump’s lie that Democrat Joe Biden won the White House because of mass voter fraud.
“At a rally Saturday in Iowa, Trump spent almost 30 minutes arguing falsely that he had won Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania. Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, and Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds stood by and welcomed his return to their state.”
